This year's Summer School introduces participants to some of the IMF's most popular courses, providing practical insights into global economic governance, public finance, debt management, and financial market development. The sessions are designed to demonstrate how these topics address real-world policy challenges and support sustainable economic growth.

The IMF Summer School 2026 features expert-led discussions that explain the objectives, content, and practical applications of selected IMF training courses. Summer School Schedule

13 August 2026 – IMF Legal Framework (LFIx)

Participants will explore the legal foundations of the International Monetary Fund, including its governance structure, institutional framework, and the role it plays in supporting the global financial system.

20 August 2026 – VITARA Payment and Debt Management (Vitara PMD)

This session focuses on payment and debt management practices that can strengthen tax administration, improve taxpayer compliance, and enhance public financial management.

27 August 2026 – Local Currency Bond Market Development (LCBMx)

Participants will learn how domestic bond markets operate, the importance of local currency financing, and the key factors involved in developing resilient capital markets.
