Applications are open for the Impact Forge Youth Incubation Program by Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU).
Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) is calling for applications to its new initiative, Impact Forge, an incubation platform designed specifically to uplift youth-founded and youth-led organizations committed to creating positive social change.
This initiative is part of RAHU’s recently introduced Youth Incubation Strategic Approach, which aims to nurture emerging changemakers by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and network necessary to expand or sustain their social impact ventures — especially those within their first five years of operation.
About Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU)
RAHU is a Ugandan-based, youth-focused nonprofit established in 2011. The organization promotes informed decision-making among young people through innovative advocacy, social behavior change strategies, and youth participation. Its programs focus on empowering youth through inclusive and transformative engagement.
What is Impact Forge?
Impact Forge is a structured, cohort-based program aimed at overcoming the common resource and structural challenges that often hinder the long-term success of youth-driven social initiatives. It is designed to provide holistic support through mentorship, leadership development, organizational growth strategies, and access to a network of professionals and partners.
Program Goals:
- Build a thriving community of sustainable youth-led social impact ventures.
- Develop critical leadership, communication, and employment skills among young changemakers.
- Recognize and elevate exceptional youth talent in Uganda.
- Support the emergence of globally relevant youth-centered social enterprises.
Format and Duration:
The program will utilize a blended model, combining 70% virtual engagement with 30% in-person activities.

Interested organizations should submit their completed offline application forms via email to info@reachahand.org, copying youthfounders@reachahand.org. The subject line should read: Expression of Interest – Impact Forge, and the email should include the organization’s name.

Youth founders and their organizations will benefit from:
Institutional Development: Tailored guidance in key operational areas to build resilient and growth-ready organizations.
Communication and Branding Support: Strategic visibility and branding assistance to amplify advocacy and program effectiveness.
Mentorship and Expert Access: Year-round support from seasoned professionals within RAHU’s expansive partner ecosystem.
Leadership Training: Capacity-building on stakeholder engagement, team dynamics, social entrepreneurship, and partnership management.
Resource Access and Networking: Opportunities to connect with funders, attend relevant events, utilize co-working space, and join a growing alumni community.
Be led, co-founded, or centered around young people aged 18–27.
Operate a social impact project focused on health or development.
Have been registered or active no earlier than 2020.
Be based in or targeting communities in Central Uganda (Kampala, Mukono, Wakiso) or the Rwenzori region (Kasese).
Demonstrate potential for scale, a clear growth vision, and a commitment to full participation throughout the program.
