Program Benefits
Grant Award Types: SAREP may give out the following kinds of grants:
Fixed amount awards (FAAs): For non-U.S. organisations, up to $250,000; for U.S. organisations, not to exceed $250,000
Grant for Simplified Cost-Reimbursement (SIG): Non-U.S. organisations may receive up to $250,000; U.S. organisations may not receive more than $250,000.
Grants for Standard Cost-Reimbursement (STGs): Non-U.S. organisations may receive up to $500,000, while U.S. organisations may get up to $250,000.
Grants in Kind: Up to $500,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The SAREP Partnership Fund grants can be provided to various entities, including private sector or for-profit organizations, nonprofits, NGOs, civil society groups, business service organizations, trade associations, educational institutions, and research entities that are eligible to receive foreign-funded grants in compliance with local regulations. However, government and quasi-government (parastatal) entities are not eligible for these grants.

All applicants must comply with USAID regulations, as outlined in the US Code of Federal Regulations and the Automated Directive System (ADS). Grantees must be legally registered in countries not prohibited by ADS 310 and authorized to operate in the country where the grant activities will take place.

To qualify for funding, grantees must ensure there are no conflicts of interest—whether personal, business, or financial—that could affect the fairness of the selection process or hinder project implementation. Applicants are required to proactively disclose any potential conflicts for mitigation before being considered for the grant.
