Do you want to change the world of sustainable development and green careers and are between the ages of 14 and 20? Then, the Your Future in Green Jobs Mentorship Programme is proudly presented by the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) in collaboration with Dubai Cares!

Concerning the Programme
With the support of Dubai Cares, in partnership with Plan International and Unbounded Associates, the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) is happy to announce the opening of its newest action-oriented initiative, the Your Future in Green Jobs Mentorship Programme.

It expands on the knowledge that young people learn from the Your Future in Green Jobs Online Course, which aims to match young people's passions, interests, and talents with relevant green career routes. The course is intended for those between the ages of 14 and 20.

You will take part in two workshops in this programme, and you will get specialised mentoring from professionals and practitioners in the green job space. In addition, you will apply the knowledge and abilities you learned in the course by putting an SDG Micro-Project into action and putting yourself at the centre of climate action! By addressing one or more of the SDGs in local communities, these micro-projects hope to improve the environment and create a better future.

Twenty individuals, ages 14 to 20, will be chosen globally and will take part in the programme from mid-May to mid-November 2024. The programme consists of self-paced SDG Micro-Project execution, mentor-matching, and virtual workshops. Mentor-mentee interactions will take place virtually on a regular basis, with participants being available in their local time zone.
