The WFF Youth Action and Policy Track aims to unite and empower diverse young individuals globally to address local challenges and priorities concerning food, striving to devise innovative and actionable solutions for a better food future. An integral aspect of this track is the Youth Policy Board (YPB), tasked with overseeing the Youth Assembly's governance.
The Youth Policy Board's primary objective is to guide the Youth Assembly, shaping youth policy stances on food and agriculture topics, coordinating regional activities, and providing strategic direction for key events, including the annual WFF flagship event. The Youth Assembly's goal is to facilitate discussions on regional and thematic areas for policy input, drafting opinions, and collaboratively organizing WFF Youth Action Track activities.
Eligibility for participation is open to individuals aged 18 to 35 years, with proficiency in English, an interest in agrifood systems, alignment with WFF's core values, and the ability to commit around 20 hours per month to the role. Selected members of the WFF YPB will co-lead the Youth Assembly discussions, access networking opportunities, receive support for attending the annual WFF flagship event in Rome, gain training prospects, participate in various WFF projects, engage in speaking opportunities at policy-related events, utilize WFF resources to empower youth for agrifood systems transformation, and enjoy visibility through WFF's social media and partner networks.
