Role Description
European Climate Pact Champions inspire and empower individuals, organizations, and policymakers to tackle climate change. They:
- Lead by example, showcasing climate commitment
- Inspire others through community engagement and advocacy
- Collaborate with stakeholders, sharing EU climate policy expertise
- Promote systemic change and ambitious climate measures
Eligibility Criteria
To become a Climate Pact Champion:
1. Reside in an EU Member State
2. Lead an organization, community, or movement
3. Hold public office or influence opinion
4. Demonstrate climate action commitment
5. Complete e-learning onboarding within three weeks
6. Participate in Pact events and activities
7. Meet annual reporting requirements
Responsibilities
As a Climate Pact Champion:
1. Make a climate action commitment (at least three concrete actions)
2. Engage with the Pact Community online
3. Share Pact messages and campaigns
4. Participate in local and European events
5. Respect Climate Pact values and guidelines
