Young changemakers passionate about education now have an exciting opportunity to amplify their impact. Applications are officially open for the next intake of the UNESCO SDG4 Youth & Student Network, welcoming a new group of dedicated youth leaders for the 2026–2027 term.

This dynamic global initiative, led by UNESCO, brings together students and young advocates committed to transforming education worldwide. The Network serves as a vibrant platform for those who are eager to shape the future of learning through engagement in policy discussions, innovative projects, and international collaboration. Members gain the chance to participate in events such as workshops, conferences, and campaigns, all geared towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 — ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all.

Selected participants will serve a two-year term, beginning in January 2026 and running through December 2027. Prior to the start of their term, new members will also take part in a series of orientation and onboarding activities between October and December 2025, designed to introduce them to the Network’s mission and ongoing efforts.

To be eligible, applicants must be between 16 and 30 years of age and actively involved in youth- or student-led organizations at the national, regional, or international level. These organizations should be non-profit and focused on advancing education in alignment with SDG4. Candidates should also be engaged in advocacy, innovation, or community work related to education, and must not hold positions or employment that could lead to a conflict of interest, such as government roles or work in private companies.

While the position is voluntary and unpaid, the opportunity offers invaluable experience, global exposure, and the chance to collaborate with like-minded youth from across the world. It’s important to note that membership does not establish a formal working relationship with UNESCO, nor does it permit the use of UNESCO’s name or logo.
