About the Event

Building on the momentum of its 2025 edition in Kenya, the A2D Facility Annual Event 2026 will serve as a global platform designed to fast-track climate innovation and industrial transformation. The event aligns with insights from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), emphasizing the urgent need to place sustainable industrialization at the center of development strategies.

Location: Bogotá, Colombia
Dates: 13–16 April 2026
Working Language: English (minimum C1 proficiency required)

With global poverty and climate risks projected to intensify without systemic change, the event will spotlight transformative approaches in:

  • Clean hydrogen

  • Critical minerals

  • Industrial decarbonization

  • Smart energy systems

Participants will explore how demonstration projects in manufacturing, transport, energy, buildings, and bio-economies can drive economic growth, resilience, and job creation in ODA-eligible countries.

The 2026 edition will place particular emphasis on strengthening a global community of practitioners engaged in implementing, financing, and scaling industrial demonstration projects in developing countries.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on:

  • The anticipated impact of participation on advancing climate innovation and industrial projects

  • Demonstrated relevance of the applicant’s work to energy transitions and scalable demonstration initiatives

  • Alignment with priority sectors such as critical minerals, clean hydrogen, smart energy, and industrial decarbonization

  • (Optional) Proposals for active engagement during the event, such as co-leading sessions in collaboration with organizers
