Be part of the UN Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN) Youth Climate Innovation Programme

The Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN) launched the groundbreaking Youth Climate Innovation (YCI) Program to assist young innovators from developing nations in conceiving, developing, and implementing high-impact climate technology solutions that are both locally applicable and globally adaptive.

The YCI Programme offers a structured path for young innovators to develop and scale breakthrough climate technologies in four key regions: Asia-Pacific, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Each element of the YCI Programme is crafted to provide participants with the necessary skills, resources, and networks to transform their innovative concepts into practical solutions.

YCI Idea Lab: This is a 7-day virtual event where participants engage in design thinking techniques to generate and refine climate solutions. The Idea Lab is region-specific and provides mentorship and opportunities for collaboration with peers.

YCI Incubator: Teams that win the Idea Lab move into a 12-week intensive incubation phase, where they receive practical support to transform their ideas into feasible products or services. This phase includes educational sessions, mentorship, and opportunities for peer-to-peer learning with other regional teams.

YCI Accelerator: Teams selected from the incubator progress to a 4-week acceleration program, concentrating on preparing for investment and building partnerships. During this stage, teams will have the chance to present their ideas at regional and global climate events, connecting with potential investors and partners.

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 20 October 2024.
