With 48 teams competing in 104 matches, this edition promises to be the largest and most inclusive World Cup in history.
FIFA is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join the volunteer community, which is expected to comprise approximately 65,000 volunteers. This diverse team will play a crucial role in various areas, including stadium operations, fan engagement, logistics, hospitality, and media support. Volunteers will have the chance to work in dynamic environments, interact with people from around the globe, and contribute to the success of the tournament.
To apply, interested individuals must meet certain criteria. Applicants should be at least 18 years old, possess a good command of English (knowledge of additional languages is advantageous), and be eligible to volunteer in the host country. A commitment to at least eight shifts during the tournament period is required, along with attendance at mandatory training sessions and interviews. Successful applicants will receive official FIFA World Cup 26™ uniforms, accreditation passes, and certificates of participation.
The application process involves selecting a preferred host city, completing an online application form, and undergoing interviews and training sessions. The Volunteer Team Tryouts are scheduled to begin in October 2025, with training commencing in March 2026.
