CALL FOR PROPOSALS : Apply Common Fund for Commodities – 27th Call for Proposals For Global Changemakers
Applications are open for the 27th Call for Proposals by the Common Fund for Commodities under the theme Thriving Farmers, Resilient Ecosystems. The call supports innovative and impactful projects that improve smallholder livelihoods while contributing to the regeneration of ecosystems. Projects are expected to combine commercial viability with social and environmental sustainability by enabling smallholders to access markets, adopt sustainable practices, strengthen value addition locally, and promote biodiversity-friendly farming.

Program Benefits
Successful applicants may receive funding of up to USD 1.5 million for regular proposals or up to USD 300,000 under the Fast-Track procedure. Financing is usually provided as loans or debt instruments on competitive terms, with possible grace periods of up to two years depending on the project. Selected projects will benefit from financial support, technical assistance, and opportunities to scale innovative models that increase smallholder incomes, promote sustainable agriculture, and regenerate ecosystems.
Eligibility Criteria
The call is open to entities such as small and medium enterprises (SMEs), cooperatives, social enterprises, non-governmental organizations, and public or private institutions. Applicants must have been operational for at least three years and demonstrate sound financial and accounting capacity through audited records. Start-ups without sufficient operational history are not eligible.
Proposals must be implemented in one or more of the 101 member countries of the Common Fund for Commodities. Priority will be given to projects located in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDS). The fund particularly welcomes proposals outside major capital cities and those focusing on non-traditional value chains.
