Chevening is more than an opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in the UK. It is a global network of leaders committed to using their knowledge, relationships and influence to create positive change in their countries and beyond.

This online information session, hosted by the British High Commission Accra, is designed to help prospective applicants in Ghana better understand what Chevening is looking for and assess whether they are ready to submit a strong application.

Under the theme “Are You Chevening Ready?”, the session will go beyond basic eligibility requirements to explore the qualities, experiences and ambitions that make for a competitive Chevening application.

What will be covered?

During the session, we will discuss:

• Chevening’s vision and purpose
• Eligibility and what applicants should consider beyond simply meeting the requirements
• Demonstrating leadership and influence
• Building and sustaining professional relationships
• Choosing courses that support your career ambitions
• Developing a clear and realistic post-study career plan
• Understanding the requirement to return home after your studies
• Common application mistakes and how to avoid them
• Key application timelines and official resources

You will also have an opportunity to hear insights from members of the Chevening Alumni Community and ask questions during the session.
