The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) will run from November 11-22, 2024. Official accreditation (a "virtual badge") is required for virtual participation at this UNFCCC negotiation session. Virtual badges will be distributed via YOUNGO's established pool-badge allocation system, with emphasis on both continuity of engagement and an inclusive environment for new members. Gender and regional balance will be prioritized, with special focus on female and marginalized gender representation and youth from the global south and most affected regions.

To apply, please respect word limits in each section of the form, as exceeding them may impact your application's evaluation.

A selection committee from GCT and YOUNGO will oversee a fair and inclusive selection process based on:
- Knowledge of the UNFCCC process,
- Prior experience in youth/environmental work, especially with YOUNGO,
- Intended participation plans at COP29.

Successful applicants will receive an NGO badge, obliging them to adhere to UNFCCC's NGO participation guidelines, which we advise reading carefully. Any legal matters will be handled directly between the applicant, the NGO, and relevant authorities; YOUNGO GCT members bear no responsibility for such matters.
