DEADLINE DAY : COP29 Youth-led Climate Forum Speakers & Moderators – Call for Applications
The global climate crisis has a significant impact on young people worldwide, underscoring the need for their active involvement in shaping climate policies.
Article 57 of the Sharm el-Sheikh Implementation Plan and Paragraph 65 of the Glasgow Climate Pact urge future COP Presidencies to host annual climate forums to support the Glasgow work programme on Action for Climate Empowerment.
In recognition of this, COP29 is committed to ensuring youth voices are integral to policymaking by supporting the Youth-led Climate Forum (YCF).
Interested speakers and moderators for COP29's Youth-led Climate Forum sessions are encouraged to apply through this form. There will be five thematic sessions during WEEK 1, culminating in a headline event on the first day of WEEK 2. The session schedule is as follows:
- November 13: New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG)
- November 14: Advocating for Health and Educational Equity: The Role of Children and Youth in Climate Action
- November 15: Youth Perspectives on Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security, and Water Resource Management
- November 15: NDC 3.0
- November 16: Climate Mobility and Loss and Damage
- November 18: Headline Event
