Are you developing an innovative AI-driven solution to tackle climate change? The AI for Climate Action Award 2025 is now accepting submissions from individuals and teams worldwide who are harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to support climate adaptation and mitigation in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

This prestigious award celebrates impactful, open-source climate solutions with the potential to drive sustainable development in key sectors like agriculture, energy, transport, water, waste, health, and early warning systems.

Judging Criteria

• Relevance to LDCs and SIDS
• Impact on climate resilience or emission reduction
• Inclusivity, especially women-led initiatives
• Origin of solution (preference for LDC/SIDS-developed projects)
• Alignment with the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism’s priorities
• Commitment to open-source principles

Submit a brief (max. 300 words) description of your AI solution by 31 July 2025. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of climate and technology experts.
