FULLY FUNDED: Apply For The 2027 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship for Women Journalists
Applications are open for the 2027 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship, a prestigious international program that supports women and nonbinary journalists who focus on reporting about human rights and social justice issues. The fellowship is organized by the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) and was created in memory of journalist Elizabeth Neuffer, a correspondent for The Boston Globe who was killed while reporting in Iraq in 2003.
This highly competitive fellowship selects one journalist each year and provides a six-month professional and academic experience in the United States. During the program, the selected fellow conducts research and takes courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for International Studies while also gaining newsroom experience with leading media outlets such as The Boston Globe and The New York Times. The program aims to strengthen journalists’ ability to report on human rights and social justice issues while expanding their professional networks and international reporting experience.
