Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be graduates from Sub-Saharan African countries who meet the academic and admission requirements of the selected universities in Nigeria or South Africa. The programme is particularly aimed at individuals who intend to pursue careers in academia, research, or sectors that support sustainable growth and development.

In addition, applicants are expected to show motivation for development-related work and a willingness to actively participate in regional knowledge exchange. Female candidates and individuals from disadvantaged or underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply, as the programme seeks to promote inclusivity and equal access to higher education opportunities.

Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Angola, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Lesotho, Eswatini, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Chad, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Togo, Benin, Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe, and The Gambia.
