Young Graduate Immersion Programme 2026, a fully funded professional development initiative designed to equip young graduates from ECOWAS Member States with practical work experience in regional institutions. The programme provides participants with an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within ECOWAS institutions, allowing them to develop technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a deeper understanding of regional cooperation and integration. Through this immersive experience, participants will gain valuable exposure to policy development, project implementation, administration, research, and other key functions that contribute to the growth and development of West Africa.
The programme is intended to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice by enabling young graduates to apply their knowledge in a real work environment. Participants will also build professional networks, improve their communication and teamwork skills, and gain insights into the operations of one of Africa’s most influential regional organizations. The experience acquired through the programme is expected to enhance participants’ employability while preparing them for future leadership roles in both the public and private sectors.

Knowledge of at least one of the official ECOWAS working languages—English, French, or Portuguese—is an added advantage, while proficiency in additional languages will further strengthen an application.
