FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the Environment & Society Graduate Fellowship Program 2026 – University of Arizona

The Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) at the University of Arizona is inviting applications for the 2026 Environment & Society Graduate Fellowship Program, a competitive funding opportunity designed to support graduate students working on collaborative environmental research and outreach projects.

This fellowship aims to strengthen interdisciplinary research and communication at the intersection of environmental science and society by supporting projects that engage communities, organizations, or stakeholders affected by environmental challenges.

About the Fellowship

The Environment & Society Graduate Fellowship provides financial support and professional development opportunities for University of Arizona graduate students whose work addresses environmental and societal issues. Selected fellows will receive up to $5,000 in funding for projects conducted between May 2026 and May 2027.

The program is supported by CLIMAS, the University of Arizona Office of Research and Partnerships, and the Arizona Institute for Resilience.

Eligible Project Areas

Proposed projects may include:

  • Scoping or exploratory research

  • Master’s thesis or PhD dissertation research
