European Union has opened applications for the EU–UN Youth Delegates Programme 2026–2027, inviting young leaders from across EU Member States to help represent the voices and interests of European youth within the global policy arena of the United Nations.

Now entering its fifth cohort, the initiative provides an opportunity for two selected youth delegates to engage in international diplomacy, contribute to policy discussions, and strengthen youth representation in global decision-making processes. The programme is implemented in collaboration with the European Youth Forum and National Youth Councils across EU Member States.

The selected delegates will begin their mandate in September 2026 and serve for a 12-month term, supporting youth engagement in major UN discussions and forums.

About the Programme

The EU–UN Youth Delegates Programme aims to ensure that young people from Europe have a meaningful presence in global policy dialogues. Participants contribute youth perspectives to discussions related to peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights.
