Applications are open for the Global Minority Rights Summer School 2026, an intensive international training program focused on Self-determination and Minority Rights. The program will take place from 5–10 July 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.
The summer school is jointly organized by the Tom Lantos Institute, Ludovika University of Public Service, Human Rights Consortium (University of London), and the Unrepresented Nations & Peoples Organization (UNPO). It brings together participants from around the world to explore contemporary debates and practical challenges related to minority rights, self-determination, and international law.
About the Program
The Global Minority Rights Summer School is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of self-determination and its implications for minority communities. The program combines lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, and participant-led presentations.
Participants will learn about:

International legal frameworks on minority rights

Political, cultural, and economic dimensions of self-determination

Minority mobilization strategies and peace-building approaches

Emerging debates such as digital self-determination and decolonial perspectives
