The GOI-IES is a fully funded scholarship that provides comprehensive financial support to selected students. Successful scholars receive a €10,000 stipend to cover living expenses for one academic year. In addition, the host Irish higher education institution provides a full tuition fee waiver for the duration of the scholarship year.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be international students who intend to commence a new full-time Master’s or PhD programme at an eligible Irish higher education institution. Candidates must have received a conditional or final offer of admission from a participating Irish institution before accepting the scholarship. The programme is open to students across all disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, business, and the arts.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellent academic performance, strong communication skills, and evidence of leadership or community engagement. They must also show a clear commitment to studying in Ireland and acting as ambassadors for Irish education during and after their studies. Applicants must meet all academic, language, and admission requirements set by their chosen institution.
