FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the PAGES African Mobility Fellowship
The Inter-Africa Mobility Research Fellowship Programme (African Mobility Fellowship) is open to African early-career scientists who are researching previous global changes, according to previous Global Changes (PAGES).
The initiative seeks to provide early-career African academics (PhD students and postdocs at African universities) with limited funding for travel and living expenses if they would like to obtain experience in another African nation. The ultimate objective is to help the paleoscience network in Africa grow and to foster cooperative research.
The program's goal is to cover living expenses and travel-related costs for the fellow alone, including economy class airfare, visa processing fees, laboratory consumable costs (up to a maximum of 10% of the total budget), and lodging and subsistence expenditures during the exchange. The funding will not pay for insurance. If the applicant is unable to travel for whatever reason (such as a cancelled flight), PAGES cannot be held accountable.
Additional Information
- At the time of application and throughout the fellowship year, be enrolled in school or employed in their home country.
- Hold a valid passport from any nation in Africa and be enrolled in an African university to pursue their PhD.

Agree to carry out research at a different African nation or institution.
- In order to be eligible for the fellowship, one must first obtain the host researcher's or institution's consent and present a confirmation letter from them.
- Prove that, within a year of the grant date, the fellowship will not run for longer than four weeks or for less than two weeks.
a) A filled-out application that contains:
- A description, not to exceed 1000 words, of the planned research and travel. Explain how the fellowship's goals and objectives correspond to PAGES's scientific focus.
- A 200-word maximum description of the fellowship's value to your home institution/country and how it has impacted your professional capacity development.
- The project's schedule and results (for a maximum of one month).
- An extensive USD budget.
b) Two reference letters (one from the host institution's supervisor and one from the home institution's current academic supervisor).
