Selected visiting fellows will receive a supplemental stipend of US$30,000 for the year. They will be in residence at Stanford during the academic year, participate actively in APARC and university events, engage in collaborative research, and contribute to seminars and colloquia. Fellows will also have access to Stanford’s extensive research facilities and may audit courses with faculty permission. The program provides a unique opportunity to immerse in the intellectual environment of Stanford and to strengthen international scholarly exchange on Taiwan.

The fellowship is open to mid-career or senior researchers, as well as professionals with a PhD or equivalent expertise and a proven track record related to Taiwan studies. Applicants must be affiliated with an outside institution and will visit Stanford from that institution. Strong English proficiency is required to fully participate in academic and community activities. For the Postdoctoral Fellowship, applicants must have earned their PhD within the past three years, though this track is currently closed for applications
