Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Be a citizen or refugee from a Sub-Saharan African country and have spent a significant portion of their life in the region.
- Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Have completed a Bachelor's degree.
- Must not already hold a graduate or PhD degree.
- Demonstrate financial need due to economically disadvantaged circumstances.
- Have shown academic excellence despite challenging conditions.
- Exhibit leadership qualities or potential.
- Show a strong interest in and commitment to giving back to their home community.
- Require a Canadian study permit to pursue studies in Canada.
- Must not have claimed or intend to claim asylum or protected person status upon arrival in Canada.
- Commit to returning to Africa to apply their education and skills for the betterment of others.
