Applications are open for the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women and Girls (UNTF) is inviting proposals from civil society organizations, NGOs, and other eligible entities to implement programs that prevent and respond to all forms of violence against women and girls, particularly in contexts where systemic discrimination and gender-based violence are prevalent.
The Fund focuses on supporting innovative and sustainable initiatives that address root causes of violence, enhance access to justice, improve multisectoral service provision, and empower women and girls to lead change in their communities.

Program Benefits
Selected organizations will receive fully funded grants to implement projects aimed at ending violence against women and girls. Funding includes support for program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, and community engagement.
Grantees will benefit from technical support, guidance from UN Women, and visibility at international forums focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment. The program also enables organizations to scale up proven interventions, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to global knowledge on best practices in preventing and responding to gender-based violence.

Eligibility Criteria
Organizations eligible to apply include civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other accredited entities that have a proven track record in implementing programs to combat violence against women and girls. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to manage grants effectively, deliver measurable outcomes, and engage with local communities.
Proposals should clearly outline strategies to prevent and respond to gender-based violence, including legal, social, and health interventions, and must be aligned with the UNTF’s thematic priorities. Multi-country projects are eligible provided all included countries are from the OECD DAC list of Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipients. High-income countries are generally not eligible to apply.
