FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the United Nations WHO Youth Council Term 2024-2026 – Expression of Interest
The World Health Organisation (WHO) is pleased to declare that the application period for the WHO Youth Council's second term, which will take place in 2024 and 2026, is now open.
Through meaningful conversations and activities centred around youth, organisations globally have a unique chance to support global health initiatives. WHO encourages all interested parties to carefully study the guidelines and qualifying requirements before submitting their expressions of interest, which are extended to qualified organisations.
About the WHO Youth Council
The WHO Youth Council is a vital platform for integrating young people's perspectives into global health discussions. By leveraging the diverse insights and expertise of youth, the Council aims to influence health policies, support WHO’s overarching mission, and spearhead innovative public health initiatives. This initiative is designed to amplify youth contributions to health systems globally through advocacy, creativity, and strategic guidance to WHO’s leadership.

Furthermore, all WHO Youth Council members must be part of the WHO Civil Society Commission. If your organization is not currently a member, you will need to apply for membership in the Commission along with your expression of interest for the Youth Council. Submitting an application to the WHO Civil Society Commission will fulfill the requirement for consideration in the Youth Council.
Please review the Terms of Reference thoroughly to understand the Council's scope and activities. The Council invites expressions of interest from organizations active internationally, especially those that are youth-led, youth-focused, or represent youth chapters within larger organizations. The selection will include a mix of organizations focused on health and those with a broader mandate.
To be eligible for the WHO Youth Council, organizations must also apply to the WHO Civil Society Commission if they are not already members. Submitting this application will meet the requirement for consideration of your expression of interest in the Youth Council.
