A fully sponsored leadership programme for prospective leaders in three distinct nations is called Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab 2024. The Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab was jointly launched by the East-West Centre and the Japan Foundation. Leaders in this Indo-Pacific leadership programme will focus on a particular interconnected social challenge. Along with fifteen other rising leaders from the Indo-Pacific area, they will take part in a year-long programme that consists of three one-week in-person seminars hosted in Tokyo, Japan; Suva, Fiji; and Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition to analysing current approaches to the issue, leaders will look into community-based tactics and how they connect to regional and municipal laws. Participants will identify key gaps and research and test solutions in their local communities under the guidance of problem-solving specialists, community leaders, and mentors in leadership.

The 2025 Leadership Programme focuses on leadership strategies to lessen the risks and difficulties associated with climate change. The programme will begin online in October 2024 and feature live sessions in Tokyo, Honolulu, Hawaii, Suva, Fiji, and Fiji. Plans for climate adaption and regional community initiatives will be assessed by leaders.
