This year holds significance as individuals worldwide exercise their voting rights to shape their desired futures, a phenomenon not to be witnessed again until 2048.

Simultaneously, the world stands at a crucial juncture in its journey towards achieving net zero emissions. To ensure a sustainable path forward, urgent and comprehensive decarbonization across all sectors of the economy is imperative. Although numerous countries have bolstered their climate policies, the emergence of a 'green backlash' threatens to impede progress. The outcome of this unprecedented election year will significantly influence the trajectory of the green and equitable transition, highlighting the critical role of voters in driving environmental action.
