FULLY FUNDED MASTERS IN EUROPE: Apply for the Erasmus Mundus Master’s Scholarship in Journalism, Media and Globalisation

Applications are now open for the 2026/2028 Erasmus Mundus Master’s Scholarship in Journalism, Media and Globalisation, a highly competitive programme designed for students who want to explore journalism through a global, analytical and critical perspective. This international master’s degree has, since 2005, brought together learners from different regions of the world, creating long-lasting professional networks and communities of journalists with shared interests.

To be considered for admission, applicants need to hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years in a field relevant to media or communication. They must also provide official proof of English proficiency if they are not native speakers, and they are expected to have completed a minimum of three months of hands-on journalism experience before applying.

Those who secure the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship receive full coverage of tuition for the entire duration of the programme. In addition, scholars are granted a monthly payment of €1400, which is intended to help with living expenses, travel needs, visa costs and settling-in arrangements. This financial support is available for up to two years, beginning in September of the first academic year.

All students enrolled in the Mundus Journalism programme are also able to seek an Erasmus+ stipend, which has historically been awarded to every eligible applicant. This particular funding is meant to assist with the second-year studies at the chosen specialisation university. Guidance and support throughout the Erasmus+ application process are provided by the Erasmus+ Office at Aarhus University once the programme has started.
