The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2025 invites young people from across Europe to apply for the role of Young Energy Ambassador. This prominent event, focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency, will be held in Brussels, Belgium, as well as online, from June 10-12, 2025. Organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the Directorate-General for Energy, EUSEW is Europe's leading annual event for sustainable energy.

About the EUSEW 2025 Young Energy Ambassadors Program

The Young Energy Ambassadors Program, launched in 2023, demonstrates the European Commission’s commitment to engaging young people in shaping a clean, competitive, and equitable energy transition. The initiative aims to:

  • Boost youth involvement in European policymaking on sustainable energy.
  • Amplify young people's influence in the clean energy sector.
  • Recognize and celebrate contributions towards the energy transition.

Each year, approximately 30 passionate young individuals from across Europe are selected through an open application process to serve as Young Energy Ambassadors for one year. The program is open to all motivated youth actively engaged in the energy sector, whether through their studies, volunteering, professional work, or personal initiatives.

EUSEW 2025 Young Energy Ambassadors Program Details

  • Program Duration: April 2025 – June 2026
  • Key Event: Participation in EUSEW 2025, taking place from June 10-12, 2025, in Brussels (expenses covered).
  • Additional Activities: Ambassadors will also be involved in policy dialogues, webinars, outreach efforts, and a mentorship program throughout their tenure.

Program Benefits
- The European Commission will cover all accommodation and meal expenses during the EUSEW event in Brussels.

- Travel costs to and from Brussels will also be provided.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be lawfully residents of the European Union, and they must conduct their energy-related initiatives, activities, and actions in at least one EU member state.

Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 35, meaning they must have been born between March 1, 1989, and March 1, 2007, the day the application deadline is set.
