Applications are now open for the 2025 WCSFP Global Career Accelerator Program, designed for emerging professionals in factual filmmaking, digital production, and related creative fields who are ready to elevate their careers and share science, history, or natural history content with global audiences. This newly named initiative builds on the achievements of the former Emerging Producer Program and welcomes talent across all areas, including factual media, digital platforms, social media, gaming, and multimedia storytelling.

The program aims to support and nurture a diverse group of emerging creators while fostering the next generation of World Congress members. Individuals producing content in science, history, wildlife, and non-fiction media, whether in digital, social media, or gaming formats, are strongly encouraged to apply. The 2025 recipients will gain access to a variety of benefits, including accreditation and networking opportunities for Congress ’25, hosted by the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers. Additional perks include discounted registration for future WCSFP events in 2026 and 2027, making it easier for new participants to remain active in the community.

To be eligible, applicants should be attending WCSFP for the first time. For the top-level support (Tier 1 bursaries), preference is given to individuals from regions outside the usual WCSFP attendance base—countries such as Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, the UK, and the USA—or those who have never participated in a major international market event. The program encourages applications from voices that are underrepresented across cultures and geographic regions. Candidates must demonstrate experience in the science, history, wildlife, or factual genres, holding roles such as executive producer, producer, associate producer, assistant producer, or digital, gaming, or social media content creator. They should also show that their careers are at a stage where attending a large international event would provide meaningful growth.

Successful applicants may receive either a full or partial bursary for Congress ’25. Tier 1 recipients enjoy complete coverage, including full Congress registration, travel and four nights of accommodation, mentorship from experienced Congress members, opportunities for one-on-one meetings with key industry figures, introductory sessions with leading producers to optimize their Congress experience, personalized guidance to navigate the event, and discounted accreditation for subsequent WCSFP conferences in 2026 and 2027. Priority for full support is given to creators from regions that are traditionally underrepresented at WCSFP. Tier 2 recipients receive full Congress registration, mentorship, welcome sessions with leading producers, tailored support for navigating WCSFP, and discounted registration for future events.

This program offers a unique platform for emerging producers and content creators to expand their networks, gain expert guidance, and develop their careers within the international factual media community.
