Applications are now open for the Green Digital Fellowship Programme 2026–2027, an opportunity designed for students and young professionals across the European Union who are interested in strengthening their digital communication and storytelling skills while contributing to conversations on climate action, democracy, social justice, and sustainability.

Running from September 2026 to May 2027, the fellowship combines online learning, practical assignments, and in-person training to help participants develop compelling digital content and effective communication strategies.

Fellows will learn from experienced campaigners, journalists, digital strategists, content creators, and communications professionals while gaining practical experience through real-world campaigns.

The programme includes five interactive online workshops covering digital communication, campaigning, and political engagement, alongside two in-person training sessions in Brussels.

Participants will also receive expert feedback on their work, collaborate with fellow young communicators from across Europe, and build a strong professional network.

Selected fellows will have opportunities to contribute to European campaigns and may also be invited to attend the European Youth Event (EYE) in Strasbourg in June 2027, further expanding their international exposure and connections.

By the end of the programme, participants will have strengthened their skills in storytelling, video production, audience engagement, and digital campaigning. They will also gain greater confidence as communicators, join a growing network of Green digital storytellers, establish lasting professional connections, and receive a certificate of participation.

The organisers will cover travel, accommodation, and meals for all in-person sessions.

Individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with particular encouragement extended to those who are currently underrepresented in politics and media.

The programme aims to equip the next generation of digital storytellers with the skills and networks needed to communicate impactful stories that inspire positive environmental and social change.
