Applying to be a part of the recently launched Eureka Fellowship for Youth Changemakers in Canada (Eureka Fellowship) will give young people in Canada between the ages of 18 and 30 the chance to attend the world's largest and most influential youth leadership event, the One Young World Summit Montréal, 2024 (18–21 September), which will address some of the most pressing issues facing humanity.

The Eureka Fellowship will bring together thirteen incredible youth changemakers from across Canada who are actively working to make a positive impact in one of three areas: (1) access to healthcare and health equity, (2) environmental protection and climate action, or (3) championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (including gender equality).

Canada's Eureka Fellowship for Youth Changemakers has been created by AstraZeneca Canada and Plan International Canada. The fellowship seeks to recognise and celebrate the contributions of young, Canadian changemakers who are motivating and taking on sustainability-related issues.

Thirteen young Canadian changemakers will have the opportunity to attend the One Young World Summit in Montréal, 2024, in its initial year thanks to the fellowship.

Young leaders from more than 250 organisations and 190 countries will have the chance to network and learn at this event. Prospective fellows must to be enthusiastic about regional and international issues and open to working together and exchanging expertise.

Procedure for Selection
A committee comprising representatives from AstraZeneca Canada and Plan International Canada will choose the recipients of the Eureka Fellowship for Youth Changemakers in Canada.

Candidates will get notification of the selections by May 2024. The deadline for applications is April 23 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
