The Pan-African Youth Union (PYU) has announced an open call inviting African digital creators and social media influencers to participate in the Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Training Camp to be held in China.

This international initiative seeks to engage young African influencers who actively shape online conversations through content focused on culture, tourism, and technology. The programme aims to strengthen cross-cultural exchange while enhancing participants’ digital storytelling skills and global visibility.

Programme Overview

The training camp will bring together selected influencers from across Africa for an immersive learning experience that combines cultural exposure, media engagement, and content creation opportunities. Participants will interact with international media platforms while exploring China’s technological innovation, tourism landscape, and cultural heritage.

Expectations for Selected Participants

Influencers chosen for the programme will be required to:

• Produce and publish at least four original video posts documenting their experience in China
• Actively engage their online audiences by sharing insights from the training camp
• Collaborate with international media partners, including China Youth Daily, to amplify programme visibility

The initiative presents an opportunity for African content creators to expand their global networks, strengthen storytelling skills, and showcase African perspectives on international platforms.
