FULLY FUNDED TO GHANA: Apply for the Extreme Heat Reporting Training for young West African journalists and storytellers
Attend a three-day in-person workshop hosted by Climate Resilience for All in Accra, Ghana, from February 10–12, 2025, designed to enhance your ability to report on the effects of extreme heat. This hands-on training will provide fresh perspectives, story ideas, and resources to better cover the growing impacts of this climate issue. You’ll also learn practical tips for integrating heat-related topics into your reporting and receive advice on improving heat-related visuals.
This free program, facilitated by seasoned climate journalists and experts in heat impacts, welcomes English-speaking journalists—both staff and freelance—residing in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, or The Gambia. Eligible participants must have at least one year of professional reporting experience.
Complete the application form by January 6, 2025. Accepted applicants will be notified by January 10, 2025. Travel expenses, accommodations, and meals during the training will be fully covered.
