Fully Funded to Hungary : Apply for this TWO weeks Volunteering project in Budapest
An open invitation is extended to foreign volunteers to participate in the two-week ESC Teams Volunteering programme "School of Solidarity 2024 - Learning without Borders" in Budapest, Hungary. The European Union's European Solidarity Corps Programme is providing funding for this volunteer initiative, which is led by the Egyesek Youth Association.
Concerning the European Solidarity Corps
An EU funded scheme called the European Solidarity Corps is available to young people who want to participate in various forms of solidarity activity. These include humanitarian relief, aiding the underprivileged, and supporting environmental and health initiatives both inside and beyond the EU. You must look for an ESC volunteer programme overseas if you wish to volunteer abroad without having to pay anything. Projects involving volunteerism and solidarity are funded by the European Solidarity Corps. Open to organisations in the EU and its partner nations, as well as individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 (35 for humanitarian assistance).
About Youth Association of Egyesek
Young professionals and engaged youth make up the Egyesek Youth Association. It helps build communities built on solidarity, where individuals enjoy their freedom of choice, connect with one another in a peaceful manner, and are conscious of their own agency. One of the most well-known organisations in Hungary and all of Europe for Erasmsu+ and the European Solidarity Corps is the Egyesek Youth Association.
There is no application deadline.
First Work Camp: February 24–March 10
Second Work-camp dates are March 9–24.
Third Work-camp: March 23–April 7, 2019
Fourth Work-camp: April 6–21.

Additional Information
- There's no cost to participate.
- For the two weeks of the project, volunteers will stay in a hostel in Budapest.
- Breakfast and dinner are not included in the project fee but are handled independently. The institution will supply the meal.
Following your involvement in the project, you will get reimbursement for your out-of-country travel expenses to the project site based on the following distance:
between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR per person, plus an additional 30 EUR for environmentally friendly travel.
For travel distances of 500–1999 km: 275 EUR per person; additional 45 EUR for environmentally friendly travel.
For travel distances of 2000–2999 km: 360 EUR per person; additional 50 EUR for environmentally friendly travel.
- Candidates must reside in a programme operated by the European Solidarity Corps; the list can be found HERE.
- Candidates should be patient, empathetic, and have experience working with both young children and teenagers.
- Applications are encouraged from candidates who have strong (nonverbal) communication skills and get along with kids of various ages.
- It is advantageous if the volunteers speak Russian or Ukrainian as their first language.
Volunteers with prior experience working with children and refugees, or those interested in doing so, are especially well-suited for this work-camp.
