Applications are now open for the 2027 cohort of the The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Residency Program, an internationally recognized residency that brings together leading thinkers, creators, and practitioners to advance breakthrough ideas with global impact.
For nearly seven decades, the Bellagio Center has convened innovators from across disciplines to collaborate, reflect, and develop solutions to pressing global challenges. Hosted at the Foundation’s Bellagio Center in Lake Como, Italy, the 26-day residency provides uninterrupted time for focused work within an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural community.
About the Residency
The program selects a cohort of up to 14 residents per session, representing diverse fields and geographies.
Residents continue to engage with one another and with The Rockefeller Foundation through the Bellagio Network long after the residency concludes.
Project Focus and Themes
The residency supports projects that generate new knowledge, offer innovative solutions, or inspire meaningful change—particularly for underserved or vulnerable communities. While the general open call welcomes applications from any field, thematic priorities for 2027 include:
