Applications are now open for the 2025 Charles R. Wall Conservation Leadership & Management Fellowship. This prestigious program brings together young professionals from various sectors across Africa, including business, NGOs, the public sector, and community-based organizations, who are passionate about environmental conservation. The fellowship aims to equip participants with transformative leadership and management skills to drive impactful change in the conservation field.
To be eligible, applicants should be practitioners, including employees, founders, or volunteers, with experience or a strong interest in conservation-related areas such as research, communications, law, community engagement, program management, finance, human resources, and fundraising. While a background in conservation science is not required, a demonstrated passion for the field is essential. The program is open to nationals from all African countries who are currently residing and working within Africa, aged between 20 and 35 years. A minimum of a diploma in any field is required, and for applicants who are French or Portuguese speakers, basic proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary.
This fully funded fellowship offers a range of benefits to enhance your professional growth and impact in conservation. It covers the cost of round-trip airfare and ground transportation for the in-person workshop in Wallon. Comfortable accommodation and meals will be provided during the workshop and other in-person events. In addition, participants will receive a stipend to support data bundles, ensuring they remain connected during virtual sessions. Throughout the program, fellows will also have access to personalized coaching to help them successfully implement their innovation projects.
