FULLY FUNDED TO NEW YORK : Applications are open Movement Leader Fellowship 2025 Cohort
Applications are being accepted for the 2025 cohort of Leadership for Democracy and Social Justice at the Colin Powell School and CUNY School of Labour and Urban Studies.
This program is intended to provide seasoned social justice professionals with a chance to refine their leadership abilities, fully immerse themselves in theory and practice, and broaden their community involvement in movement work.
Through the rigorous cohort experience offered by this year-long program, individuals may meet and form relationships across concerns, carve out time for introspection, and get ready for the next level of leadership.
In addition to providing practitioners with exposure to pertinent topics in political economy, policy, and organising, the program offers a unique combination of academic training with practical skills including management, power analysis, and strategy building.
Leaders in base-building, labour, and community organising who have ten to fifteen years of experience working for social justice are eligible for the Movement Leader Fellowship. Applications from historically marginalised groups—such as women and nonbinary individuals, LGBTQ+ individuals, Black Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC), low-income, working-class, and immigrant individuals—are highly encouraged.
The deadline for priority applications is September 1, 2024, and the final application deadline is September 21, 2024.
