The Canon Student Development Programme for 2024 is now accepting applications. With the help of the Canon Student Development Programme, advance your career and take the next step towards becoming a professional photographer.

The curriculum provides budding photographers with a fantastic opportunity to meet top industry professionals and have their portfolios professionally evaluated. Participants can come from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Program Benefits

Mentorships: Editors from leading media agencies such as AFP, EPA, Getty Images, and Reuters will choose up to 100 candidates for one-on-one mentorships.
Exclusive course: A 4-day workshop in Girona, Spain, aimed at defining careers, will be extended invitations to the top 25 students.
Following the programme, the students will go to Perpignan, France's Visa pour l'Image, an international photojournalistic festival.
Prestigious prizes: Three students will get a grant of €2,000 and equipment from Canon to create a new project.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to qualify, candidates must be 18 years old, be residents of Europe, have finished an internship or educational programme, or have been nominated by a photographer with professional experience.
