FULLY FUNDED TO UK – Apply for the Chevening Energy Market Reform Fellowship
An opportunity to spend three months in Dundee as a visiting Chevening Fellow is provided by the Chevening Energy Market Reform Fellowship to senior executives and experts from China's energy sector.
At the University of Dundee, the fellowship is hosted by the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law Policy (CEPMLP).
Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the United Kingdom provides funding for the initiative.
Program arrangement
As agreed upon with the academic supervisor of the CEPMLP, fellows will have the chance to spend three months at the University of Dundee working on a particular research topic that advances the overall objectives of the UK-China Energy Dialogue.
During their fellowship, fellows will have unfettered access to classes, lectures, and seminars that will inform their particular study topic, all under the guidance of an academic supervisor. A faculty member from the University of Dundee will discuss the candidate's proposed research during the interview.

- Plan to return to China upon completion of the fellowship.
- Commit to following all program guidelines and expectations.
- Possess a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional training/experience in a relevant field.
- Have at least five years of professional experience or be a current PhD candidate (PhD must not be pursued at a UK, EU, or US institution).
- Not hold dual nationality, including British, unless exempt under Chevening's guidelines.
- Not be a current or recent (within two years) employee, or a close relative of an employee, of His Majesty’s Government or associated institutions like the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, British Embassies/High Commissions, the British Council, or a UK university.
Additional requirements:
- Those who previously received HMG-funded scholarships or fellowships can apply after five years and must show career progress since completing the previous award.
- Employees, former employees, or relatives of Chevening Partner organizations may apply, but cannot receive a Chevening Partner Award if the employment occurred in the past two years or if they are related to an employee from that organization.
*Relatives include parents, step-parents, siblings, step-siblings, children, step-children, spouse, or civil partner.
