FULLY FUNDED TO USA : Check out the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars fellowship

The Centre grants nine-month residential fellowships through an international competition. The Wilson Center's premier worldwide fellowship programme is open to academics, professionals, journalists, and public intellectuals.

In addition to engaging with Wilson Centre personnel, other resident scholars, and Washington officials, fellows carry out research and write in their fields of interest. Proposals for non-advocacy fellowships that tackle significant global and national policy issues are welcomed by the Centre.

The Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars supports outstanding research and connects it to issues that Washington authorities are interested in. This helps to bring the worlds of ideas and policy closer together.

The Centre was officially designated as the official national memorial to President Wilson by Congress in 1968. This living memorial honours "the ideals and concerns of Woodrow Wilson" via its work and studies, in contrast to the physical monuments in the nation's capital.

As a renowned academic and a national leader, President Wilson firmly believed that the researcher and the planner were "participating in a shared endeavour." His opinions on the necessity of bridging the knowledge gap between public policy and the realm of ideas, enhancing both fields' output, and allowing each to learn from the other, are now taken seriously by the Centre. What sets the Centre apart is the ongoing conversation it fosters between scholarship and public policy.

The Centre not only offers a residential programme but also conducts research through its programmes, conferences, and seminars. It also uses email marketing and its website to share the findings of its research and that of its fellows. The Centre extends an invitation to Fellows to participate in conferences, meetings, and seminars, as well as to gain access to a diverse spectrum of discourse held there.

In all of its forms, inclusiveness and diversity are valued at the Wilson Centre. In keeping with its overarching goal, the Centre is dedicated to modifying its policies, procedures, and programmes in order to favourably influence the Wilson Center's work in the areas of diversity, inclusivity, and equity.

Every year, the Centre conducts a single round of competitive selection. Applications for fellowships must be sent by mail or submitted online by October 1 at 11:59 p.m. The findings of the selection procedure are communicated to the applicants in March of the subsequent year.

Application Procedure
The Wilson Center's grant awards are based on a multi-stage review process, including internal and external evaluations. The criteria for selection include the significance of the proposed research, relevance to contemporary policy issues, relevance to the programmatic work of the Center, the quality of the proposal, the applicant's capabilities and achievements, and the potential of the candidate to contribute to the Center's life, priorities, and mission.

The Center welcomes projects that transcend narrow specialties and methodological issues within a specific academic discipline, involve fresh research, and have relevance to public policy. Fellows should be prepared to interact with policymakers in Washington, Wilson Center staff, and other scholars working on similar issues.

To ensure a successful application, start your proposal early, have friends or colleagues review it, and be clear and concise in your language and style. The final decisions about grant awards are contingent on the approval of the Center's Fellowship Committee of the Board of Trustees and subject to available funding.
