We honour the outstanding work of business leaders who are promoting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and upholding the UN Global Compact's Ten Principles every year. A sustainable future for all can be achieved through business, as demonstrated by these individuals, who are recognised as SDG Pioneers and who inspire action.

We will be excited to set out on a new mission in 2024 to select twelve SDG Pioneers among participating businesses. Regardless of their position, these trailblazers are pushing for a principles-based approach throughout their organisations, doubling down on their influence, and setting high goals for the SDGs.

Individuals that demonstrate commitment, ingenuity, and initiative in furthering the SDGs will be honoured through a stringent selection process that includes both Local and Global Rounds.

To find corporate leaders dedicated to accomplishing the Global Goals, the UN Global Compact Networks are organising SDG Pioneers campaigns at the national level. At the end of the Local Round, the victors of each country will be crowned "2024 Global Compact Network [Country] SDG Pioneer." Twelve Global SDG Pioneers are honoured by the programme in six regions—Western Europe and North America, Latin America and Caribbean, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Oceania—under two categories: Large National and Multinational Companies and SMEs.

Employees of UN Global Compact enterprises are encouraged to submit their own narratives detailing their contributions to sustainable development, or to suggest a colleague for inclusion in the SDG Pioneers initiative.

The campaign launch is set for April 3, 2024, with submissions due by May 17, 2024. Local SDG Pioneers will be announced on July 1, 2024, followed by a global round review.
