The Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), a research laboratory based in Dresden and a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, focuses on materials, health, and energy research. The HZDR Summer Student Program 2024 invites international master’s and Diploma students in natural sciences and related fields to engage in research activities from July to September. Participants receive project plans, guidance, and mentorship from researchers while gaining exposure to various research branches through lectures and lab tours. The program aims to foster international scientific research and interdisciplinary collaboration, emphasizing the synergistic effect of integrated knowledge. Students from worldwide are encouraged to apply, provided they meet specific academic criteria, possess English language proficiency, and fulfill enrollment requirements. The program offers hands-on experience in labs, data analysis, scientific computing, and theoretical science, offering an immersive insight into scientific practices. Certain eligibility criteria apply, excluding individuals with specific academic backgrounds or previous contracts with HZDR within a defined period.
