Enrolling in the MGG Academy is free of charge and includes a number of assistance components to guarantee a sufficient level of living in Germany.

To be specific, the assistance consists of:

Participation in all program components is free.
Accommodations for the duration of the program
Allowance per month to pay living expenses in the area (totalling 2200 euros for the MGG Academy 2025, due in three installments)
Personal liability, health, and accident insurance
A monthly pass for public transport in the area
Travel expenses associated with the MGG Academy in Germany and Europe

- Be a national or permanent resident of one of the participating countries (Brazil, China, EU, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa).
- Work on critical issues related to global governance and/or sustainable development.
- Hold at least a Bachelor's degree.
- Have 3 to 15 years of professional experience in a field relevant to global cooperation and/or sustainable development.
- Have a strong command of English, with the ability to actively engage in discussions and reflect on and share insights on the topics covered in the programme.
- Obtain written support from your employer as part of the application process.
- Be prepared to participate in an intensive, full-time programme (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week).
- Be culturally sensitive, open to teamwork, and adaptable to diverse working methods.
- Be willing to reflect on both individual and shared experiences, attitudes, and competencies.

Employer Requirements:

- Grant their employees a special leave of absence for the duration of the training and relieve them of job-related duties during the MGG Academy programme.
- Cover the costs of round-trip travel to and from Germany.
- Ensure the living standards of the employee's family in their home country during the programme.
- Support the transfer of newly acquired skills and knowledge back to the employee's job.
