About the Fund

The Fund provides grants of up to £20,000 for projects lasting up to 18 months, along with flexible mentorship and learning support. It focuses on helping changemakers develop and test emerging ideas that address pressing social issues, especially those led by people who have been directly affected by the problems they aim to solve.

The goal is not necessarily to deliver a finished project but to experiment, learn, and grow. The Fund recognizes that meaningful change often begins with small, unpolished ideas that need time, space, and encouragement to develop.

What They Fund

The Fund supports ideas that:

• Challenge injustice and tackle the root causes of inequality or oppression

• Are emerging or experimental, still taking shape and open to learning

• Show long-term potential for meaningful, systemic change

Examples of eligible activities include:

• Conducting research or community consultations

• Building collective power or networks for change

• Developing campaigns or advocacy initiatives

• Paying yourself or collaborators fairly for project work

What They Do Not Fund

The Fund does not support:

• One-off or short-term projects with limited long-term potential

• Applicants with no connection to the issue they’re exploring

• Finished creative works (e.g., podcasts, films, or books)

• Projects that have already received funding from this program
