YOUNGO COP31 Badge Pool 2026 – In-Person & Virtual Participation

Young people interested in taking part in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP31) can apply for a YOUNGO badge for either in-person participation in Antalya, Türkiye, or virtual participation online.

The in-person badge is intended for YOUNGO members who plan to attend COP31 in Antalya and already have the necessary funding to cover their participation. Applicants should only apply for this option if they are able to independently meet the costs associated with attending the conference.

Those who cannot attend COP31 physically but would like to follow and participate in the conference online can apply for the virtual badge pool.

Applications for both the in-person and virtual badge pools must be submitted by 9 October 2026 at 23:59 UTC.

Virtual badge application: CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR THE VIRTUAL BADGE

The number of available badges is limited, meaning that submitting an application does not guarantee selection. YOUNGO will consider factors including applicants’ engagement with the constituency, their plans for participating in COP31, climate-related experience, gender and regional representation, with particular consideration for young people from the Global South and countries most affected by climate change.

The badges do not provide financial support. Applicants selected for an in-person badge will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, meals, visa expenses and other costs related to attending COP31 in Antalya.

Applicants are encouraged to answer the application questions in their own words. YOUNGO specifically asks applicants not to use AI to write their responses, and grammatical or language errors will not result in a penalty.
