Award Levels:
- Club-Level: Recipients typically receive around $1,000 from a local Soroptimist club, though amounts can vary.
- Region-Level: Club-level recipients can move on to compete for $3,000 or $5,000 at the regional level.
- International Level: The top recipients at the regional level are eligible for one of three international awards worth $10,000 each.

To be eligible, you must:
- Be a woman who is the primary financial provider for yourself and your dependents (which may include children, spouse, partner, siblings, or parents).
- Have a financial need.
- Be enrolled in or accepted to a vocational/skills training program, high school equivalency program, or an undergraduate degree program.
- Be motivated to achieve your educational and career goals.
- Live in one of the countries or territories where Soroptimist International of the Americas operates, such as the United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, and others.
- Have not previously received a Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity or Live Your Dream Award.
- Not hold a graduate degree or be enrolled in a graduate degree program.
- Not be a Soroptimist member, employee, or immediate family member of either.
- Commit to writing your essays without using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
