If you’re a university student or a recent graduate with a passion for sustainability, climate policy, or international development, the CVF-V20 Global Internship Programme offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of climate finance and advocacy. This prestigious international internship invites applications from driven individuals eager to make a real-world impact in the fight against climate change while enhancing their professional skills in a global setting.

Launched by the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) and the V20 Group of Finance Ministers, this internship programme is tailored for exceptional students and young professionals who are ready to contribute to innovative climate solutions for the world’s most vulnerable nations. Interns will be placed in the organization’s strategic locations across the globe—including Accra, Sri Lanka, Australia, Barbados, New York, and the Philippines—working alongside a high-caliber, multicultural team of experts.

Participants will immerse themselves in critical areas such as environmental policy, climate research, project implementation, advocacy, and sustainable development strategies. The internship offers a broad scope of responsibilities, including conducting research and data analysis, supporting program coordination, contributing to communications and outreach efforts, and assisting senior officers with day-to-day administrative operations. Every intern will be integrated into one of CVF-V20’s specialized workstreams—from International Financial Reform and Climate Policy Implementation to Legal Affairs and Global Partnerships—based on their interests and qualifications.

This internship is ideal for final-year students or recent graduates in disciplines such as Environmental Science, International Relations, Climate Finance, Economics, Law, Public Policy, or related fields. Candidates should have strong research and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills in English (and preferably another language such as French, Spanish, or Arabic), and a genuine interest in climate justice and sustainability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data tools or climate-related policy frameworks like the Paris Agreement and SDGs will be advantageous.

Though unpaid, the CVF-V20 Global Internship Programme offers immense value through mentorship, international exposure, and the chance to be part of high-impact climate action efforts. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining valuable insights into global climate finance systems, sustainable economic strategies, and the role of advocacy in shaping policy at the highest levels.

Applications are open until 10th June 2025, and selected candidates must begin their internship within two months of acceptance. Internship durations vary from one month to a year, offering flexible options to accommodate different academic and career paths.
